Chi training with Grandmaster Yee

Chi-Kung means, "breathing exercise therapy" and has been a part of Chinese Culture for over Two Thousand Years. Basically, all chi Kung (qigong) must follow three principles: regulation of body posture, regulation of mind (concentration), and regulation of breathing. Controlling these three principles will influence blood circulation toward developing the response of "Chi" within the human body.

The exercise of Chi-Kung has many variations. According to a recent government investigation, research has shown there may be more than three thousand different forms of Chi Kung in existence today. Some of these are traditional and authentic and some are not. Authentic Chi Kung philosophy and practice can serve to achieve self-realization and fulfill each individuals own need.

To learn "Chi-Kung" one needs a good and knowledgeable teacher to learn how to develop Chi and to perform its purpose. (Yes! Some Chi Kung exercise can be dangerous if you do not understand it and try to force it.)

The Chinese Kung Fu Academy of Southern Praying Mantis, School Master and Head Instructor, "Sifu Henry Poo Yee," has been a Practitioner of Kung-Fu for over 45 years, Twenty Five years of which he has been a practitioner of the highly secret form of "Jook Lum Temple Ting Sing Chi Kung." Sifu Yee studied first hand under the sharp eye of the system\'s 4th Generation Grandmaster, Sifu Lum Sang. Sifu Yee has traveled around the world teaching for over the last decade during which time he has met with many great knowledgeable and experienced masters, like himself, practitioners of the old Culture-Rich in the Ancient Arts!

The highly secret \'techniques\' of Chi-Kung from KwongSai Province (Jianxi) Jook Lum Temple was for many generations the exercise of Monks only. It was not until the early 1920\'s that the temple\'s Chi Kung was released to the outside world when the 2nd Generation Grandmaster, Monk Lee Siem See, nicknamed "Hung Mui" (red palm) taught a selected group of the Hakka People of South China. His Chi-Kung became known to some people briefly as Mui far (Plum Flower) Chi Kung for Mui Far Tong Long Pai, but was still very secret. In China, the system is kept secret from the article public even today.

The philosophy and technique of "Jook Lum Temple Ting Sing (Heaven form) Chi Kung" is to learn how to use the breath, the mind, and motion during relaxation and tension control to influence the whole body and to use the 14 meridians to cause a reaction of the body\'s 36 main pressure points.

Anyone with a little patience in life, in learning and in practice can actually obtain a perfect exercise. It is well suited for women, older people, and those with a weak body. It not only enhances you physically; it also enhances your will. By a daily practice of this slow, relaxed, gentle, and graceful exercise you can be your own nutritionist and healer. It can produce a healthier, stronger, and fit body and can also prevent many kinds of diseases in your lifetime.

As and advanced martial arts practitioner you can not achieve the highest level of body control or short power strength without it! In article-if you practice this exercise daily and skillfully it can increase body energy and reduce stress physically and mentally. For many generations it has also been a medical self-healing art for diseases and ailments like asthma, high-or-low blood pressure, premature senility, abdominal gastric diseases, distention and stomach stasis, headaches, arthritic, rheumatoid or related blood circulation disorders resulting in numbness and stiffness, etc. This exercise is also perfect for weight control and skin complexion maintenance.

There are three stages to learning this ancient art and it is important to understand then, they are as follows: (1) Learning Step by Step, pay close attention. (2) After you have learned each step of using the breath with the mind...then practice how to relax it with the body and mind. (3) Learn how to control it with body and mind (Body-Mind) and spirit together. Note: Do not try to "Control your Breath" if you are not relaxing.
To practice Chi-Kung, a few simple rules have to be followed: Always practice and exercise in a quite and relaxed atmosphere. Each breath of a complete cycle is a yin and yang of gentle, relaxed, and smooth inhalation through the nose (yang) and its exhalation through the mouth (yin).

During the practice of Chi-Kung you should not have a full or completely empty stomach. Never practice in stormy weather (thunder, lightning, etc.). Women should not practice Chi-Kung during their monthly cycle or pregnant months. You should be very careful the first 100 days of practicing if you are much over weight, are up-in-age or have a weak body, especially those with heart diseases. After you have learned and understand the technique, practice it properly each day for about one half hour. You can expect body or part body reactions or response. This is called the scenery of Chi-Kung. The reactions may be such as: joints or bones creaking, muscle tremors or pains from past injuries, the generating of heat or coolness, sweating or perspiration, body shivers or trembling, increased kidney output, stomach noise, the letting out of gas or hiccups, etc... But all of these reactions are good phenomena to the exercise of Chi-Kung. For several years past, Sifu Yee has trained not only students, but has worked with ill and disease stricken people and worked actively especially in the Chinese Community. Sifu Yee has taught many high level martial arts practitioners "Energy and Power Control training." If you have a little patience and have a little time in your life or if you are ill and have tried everything and even what doctors prescribe doesn\'t work for you, the you should give yourself a chance and try this ancient healing art. Chi-Kung could change your life for many years to come for a better, healthier, disease-free body.

Is there really and value to this ancient art of Chi Kung? Many of us still believe there is, but this is something you must experience for yourself!
